The Flooring Process
Our services include:
- Full site survey including sub-floor investigation
- Floor preparation and product specification recommendation
- Costing and estimate, with written report to COSHH requirements
- Risk Assessment, Method Statement and COSHH
- Installation and full Contract Management service, including Quality Management
We do all we can to ensure that your contract with Key Floors runs as smoothly as possible. After your initial contact we will arrange a site visit, when we will check the existing surface and sub-floor to ensure the most appropriate and durable products are used. Our wide experience of differing products and situations enables our team to advise you on all aspects of specialist flooring. Once the products have been identified and the area has been measured, a written estimate is produced. This includes a full job specification and makes provision for sub-flooring preparation, supplying and laying the flooring material. We will make recommendations for finishing details and any ongoing maintenance. Once you are happy with the estimate, the Project Manager orders the materials and a start date is agreed.
A Risk Assessment is prepared with Method Statement and COSHH (Control of substances hazardous to health). Health and Safety precautions are always followed to safeguard both you and our employees.
Your Key Floors Project Manager will keep in daily contact with the fitters on site, and will update you with your project's progress. Once we've finished we will remove old and excess material from the site, including any environmentally hazardous waste, and dispose of it appropriately, leaving the site clean and tidy. We will also send you a Quality Control form to help us improve our service.
We offer a variety of Products, including heavy duty vinyl, vinyl safety/slip-resistant and rubber flooring, anti-static and conductive flooring (Electro Static Dissipative or ESD flor coverings), linoleum, broad loom carpet, heavy duty fibre-bonded carpet, carpet tiles and timber flooring. We provide maintenance programmes to suit all types of surface and individual requirements so that we may help combat the effects of daily wear and tear - we intend our floors to last.
